Bruins Run Out of Time, Fall to Avalanche

By on October 13, 2009 in

RW David Jones scored a short-handed goal with three minutes left in the second period for the Colorado Avalanche to secure the victory over the Boston Bruins last night at the TD Garden.  Michael Ryder 6:24 into the third period to cut the lead to one, but from there the B’s were held scoreless.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien the past few days has been very frustrated with his team.  “I can’t get in their heads,” he said during his postgame press conference. “There’s a time where you’re working hard and getting chances, looking like the old team, and then you shoot yourselves in the foot.” The 2008 Eastern Conference leading Bruins have now lost three out of their first five games this season.

Boston will now travel to Dallas for their next game against the Stars on Friday before heading to Phoenix to match up with the Coyotes the following day.  Their next home game will be against the Nashville Predators October 21st. Boston Bruins tickets are available all season long right here at!
