NFL Week 6 Results

Week 6 showed some expected blow outs but also featured a handful of stunning upsets.  The Buffalo Bills were able to steal a win from the New York Jets with a field goal in OT. The Oakland Raiders defeated the Eagles for their second win of the season. After dominating the Giants 48-27 yesterday, the New Orleans Saints have really proved themselves as the top team to beat. They remain undefeated along with the Broncos, Colts, and Vikings while the Buccaneers, Titans, and Rams struggle to post their first win for 2009. Find all Week 6 scores below.

Houston Texans 28, Cincinnati Bengals 17 – Cincinnati was up by three heading into the third quarter but were shut down by the Texans defense for the entire second half.

Green Bay Packers 26, Detroit Lions 0 – QB Aaron Rodgers produced two passing TD’s and 358 yards for Green Bay to coast by Detroit.

Minnesota Vikings 33, Baltimore Ravens 31 – The Ravens came back with 21 points in the fourth, but Favre took control and led his men down field for a last minute field goal to pull ahead.

New Orleans Saints 48, New York Giants 27 – QB Drew Brees threw for 369 yards and four TD’s for the Saints give New York their first loss of the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers 27, Cleveland Browns 14 – WR Hines Ward came up with 159 yards from eight receptions and 1 TD.

Carolina Panthers 28, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21 – DeAngelo Williams scored the go-ahead TD from the 1 yard line with 29 seconds remaining. 

Kansas City Chiefs 14, Washington Redskins 6 – The Chiefs earned eight fourth quarter points to earn their first win of the season.

Jacksonville Jaguars 23, St Louis Rams 20 – The Jags came back with 14 fourth quarter points and the final FG in overtime to keep St Louis defeated.

Arizona Cardinals 27, Seattle Seahawks 3 – QB Kurt Warner completed 32 passes for 276 yards and two TD’s.

Oakland Raiders 13, Philadelphia Eagles 9 – Oakland held the Eagles to just three field goals all game to take this one by four.

New England Patriots 59, Tennessee Titans 0 – Tom Brady made history with five TD passes and 35 points in the second quarter alone, leading the Patriots to demolish the Titans 59-0.

Buffalo Bills 16, New York Jets 13 – Buffalo edged the Jets with an overtime field goal away at Giants Stadium.

Atlanta Falcons 21, Chicago Bears 14 – The Falcons took the one score advantage in the second quarter and held on from there to win by seven.

Denver Broncos 34, San Diego Chargers 23 – The Broncos pulled away in the end with 10 fourth quarter points to solidify the win and their undefeated record at 6-0.
