Terriers Start Strong In Hockey East

After a competitive 2-1 win over the UMass Lowell Riverhawks last Saturday, the Boston University Terriers are now 6-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in league play. Junior forward Chris Connolly has provided the go-ahead score in their last two contests, racking up a total of eight points in seven games. They are currently the only team in the Hockey East without a loss as UMass and Vermont struggle to earn their first victories of the season.

Many are surprised at the Terriers early success in light of the amount of freshman taking on important roles between Sahir Gill, Charlie Coyle and Adam Glendening. “Losing the seniors and the early departures, we were going to need a lot of contributions from the new guys,” said Connolly. “It’s tough when you come in as a freshman and get thrown right into the fire, but the guys who have been in the lineup have done more than a great job. It’s a testament to them that they’re comfortable enough to step in and play so confidently. That’s only going to help us down the road.” The Terriers are next scheduled to take on the University of Maine Black Bears on Saturday, November 6th at the Agganis Arena.
