The stand-up comedy benefit, Comics Come Home, will be returning to Boston’s Agganis Arena again this year. Actor and comedian Denis Leary will once again host the show next Saturday, November 17 at 7:30PM.
The Comics Come Home benefit serves as a fundraiser for the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. It is the longest running stand-up comedy benefit in the nation. The show is held annually at Boston University’s Agganis Arena and has sold out practically every year since its inception 18 years ago. As of 2011, Comics Coming Home has raised over $5.5 million since it was created.
Denis Leary hand picks a cast of comedians from around the country, most of whom got their start in Boston comedy clubs. In the past comedians such as Jimmy Fallon, Lenny Clarke, Dane Cook, Whitney Cummings, Bull Burr, Tony V, Darrel Hammond, Kenny Rogerson, and Adam Ferrara have donated their time to the cause.
A whole new line up of comedians will make their way to Agganis Arena November 17 for a full night of laughs. Be sure to get your tickets here with Ace!
