BC, Northeastern Hockey to Battle at Fenway

By on November 10, 2011 in

Boston College and Northeastern University are scheduled to face-off at Fenway Park January 14th as part of the 2012 Sun Life Frozen Fenway series. Before the in-town rivals compete, two of Boston’s high school teams will match-up between Boston College High and Catholic Memorial to complete the double-header.

The Eagles last played at Fenway in January of 2010, when they lost to Boston University 3-2 in front of 38,472 fans. BC defeated Northeastern in the annual Boston Beanpot 7-6 this past February for their second consecutive tournament title. The first set of Frozen Fenway games are scheduled for January 7th, featuring Vermont vs. UMass and Maine vs. UNH.

“After the January 7th hockey doubleheader at Fenway Park sold out in less than a week, we wanted to offer hockey fans another opportunity to watch an outdoor game at the ballpark this winter,” said Sam Kennedy, the Red Sox Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer in a press release. View the best available Frozen Fenway ticket options right here at!
