This Week In Boston (Nov 14 – 20)

By on November 14, 2011 in ,

The Boston Bruins are back to their winning ways, boasting an undefeated 5-0 record in November with two additional home games to look forward to this week. Boston’s second-year forward Tyler Seguin has recently been named the NHL’s First Star of the Week.

“Obviously it’s never happened to me before and I’m feeling pretty good about it,” Seguin said of the honor. “I’ve got the boys all over me. Everyone is making sure that I know Star of the Week doesn’t make your career.”

The B’s are next scheduled to match-up against the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night before battling the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday. Balcony seats for this week are priced between $50-$65 with Loge tickets starting at $77.

The TD Garden will also be opening its doors on Wednesday to Grammy Award winning rock band The Foo Fighters. The band is out touring in promotion of their seventh studio project Wasting Light. The album sold 235,000 in its first week of release and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, becoming their first number-one album in the United States. Ticket prices for Wednesday’s show are currently starting at $79.

There are a number of other Boston venues playing host to some great acts this week. Drive By Truckers will take center stage at the House of Blues on Thursday. The Wang Theater will welcome in A cappella group Straight No Chaser Friday night. All-Star comedian Lisa Lampanelli will be at the Wilbur Theatre to cap the weekend’s events on Saturday.
