11/16- The Who– Legendary rock band, The Who, will be at the Garden tonight to perform their iconic 1973 double album Quardrophenia in its entirety, as well as a selection of classics. Quadrophenia marked the band’s second rock opera and hit No. 2 on the US Billboard album chart. Founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined by Zak Starkey, Pino Palladino, Simon Townshend, Chris Stainton, Loren Gold and Frank Simes for this epic night.
11/18- Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler– Bob Dylan released his 35th(!) studio album on September 11 and to go along with it, hit the road. This time with former Dire Straits frontman and guitarist Mark Knopfler. The two have worked together before, first on Dylan’s 1979 album, Slow Train Coming, then again in the 1983 album, Infidels. Dylan himself is an active living legend and Knopflier is one hell of a guitar player. The show is sure to bring an amazing atmosphere created by two longtime pros.
11/26- Neil Young and Crazy Horse– Neil Young teamed up again with his band Crazy Horse to record a double album of all new original material entitled Psychedelic Pill. The album released October 20th just as the band resumed their 2012 tour. After Americana, their first return to the studio since 1996, the band’s chemistry was so good they decided to continue recording. This lineup should be exciting to see live, with new hits like “Driftin’ Back.” As Poncho put it best, “It’s us jamming and having lots of fun.”
12/6- Kiss 108 Jingle Ball with Justin Bieber– Kiss 108 is the most recognized pop music station in New England and has a reputation of putting on incredible Jingle Ball concerts. This year’s show is sure to live up to expectations with headlining act, Justin Bieber. Also in the lineup are the talented Cher Lloyd, The Wanted, Karmin, Bridgit Mendler, Ed Sheeran, Alex Clare, Train and Timeflies.
12/9- Dave Matthews Band– After the band’s most recent album, Away from the World, quickly climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, Dave Matthews Band announced their East Coast Winter Tour. The performance will include new songs from the album as well as favorites such as “Ants Marching” and “Crash Into Me.” The band will be supported by reggae legend Jimmy Cliff.
12/23- Trans-Siberian Orchestra– Teaming up with Hallmark Channel, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is presenting the live debut of the band’s multi-platinum rock opera, “The Lost Christmas Eve.” This is the band’s third installment of it’s trilogy of Christmas albums. It has been called an “uplifting story of loss and redemption.” Featuring a diverse soundtrack with elements of rock, folk, R&B, Broadway, and folk, the story follows the characters through a single Christmas Eve night in New York City. Some hit singles include “Wizards in Winter,” “Christmas Nights in Blue” and “Siberian Sleigh Ride.” The show will also include new, recently released songs from their Fall EP, “Dreams of Fireflies” as well as classics from their debut album, “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.”
