Celtics vs. Nets Preview

By on November 27, 2012 in

Though the Boston Celtics haven’t been playing great basketball so far this season, they’ve had time to regroup before their match up against the Brooklyn Nets this Wednesday night. This will be the two teams’ second regular season face off, the first ending in a disappointing 97-102 loss for the Celtics.

Last time the two teams met, Rajon Rondo was out with an ankle injury and the result was up in the air until the last minute. This time, both teams are healthy and ready for victory at Boston’s TD Garden. Brooklyn is, right now, the toughest team to score on in the league, allowing just 91.3 points per game. Boston, on the other hand, has the best free throw percentage in the league at 80.5.

Boston’s last game on Sunday against the Orlando Magic was a struggle defensively. Blowing their 10-point half time lead, Boston trailed behind by as many as seven points throughout the fourth quarter, then finally came back offensively to win in overtime 116-110. Rajon Rondo had 15 points, 16 assists and nine rebounds while Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 10 rebounds.

The Nets on the other hand, are coming off a thrilling win, pulling out a 96-89 overtime victory on Monday night against the New York Knicks. They are now tied with the Knicks atop the Atlantic Division.

Hopefully Boston can pull it together and beat the Nets on their home court. Be sure to get your tickets here with Ace!
