Grammy Award winning comedian Lewis Black is coming to Boston’s Wang Theatre as part of his 2013 standup tour, “The Rant Is Due.”
Lewis Black is one of the most popular and prolific performers today. He is an actor, author and stand-up comedian who performs over 200 nights a year to sell out audiences all over the world. His shows are meant to provide a cathartic release of anger and disillusionment for his audience. He is considered a “pissed-off optimist” who can compel an audience into laughter but also thought.
Famous for his dramatic rants, Lewis Black also was the winner of the Best Comedy Album Grammy for “The Carnegie Hall Performance” in 2007. He also currently hosts “The Root of All Evil” on Comedy Central and regularly appears on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”
This tour is in lieu of the last presidential election. Black says, “Hallelujah, our long national nightmare is over. Now we face a fiscal cliff. Sounds like an event from the X games. Here’s hoping both parties start talking to each other and stop talking to us.”
