Deadmau5 and Wiz Khalifa will be headlining the SnowGlobe Music Festival this winter. The Lake Tahoe festival, minutes from Tahoe’s range of ski slopes, is now in its second year.
The fest will ring in the new year with a range of electronic, hip-hop and rock acts at the Lake Tahoe Community Festival. The Lake Tahoe Community College Campus will play host to over 40 artists including Chromeo, Beats Antique, Polica, Flosstradamus, Madeon and Dam Funk along.
Leading the 2012 lineup is popular EDM artist Deadmau5 and rapper Wiz Khalifa. Known for his high energy light show performances, Deadmau5 is expected to bring the ultimate party atmosphere. Wiz Khalifa entered the scene with his hit single “Black and Yellow” and hasn’t slowed down since. His next album, O.N.I.F.C. is expected to be released December 4 after much anticipation.
SnowGlobe is set to be held from December 29-31 and will also feature food, art and winter sports. Entertainment between performance sets will include “Big Air,” the event which showcases local processionals as they drop in and hit an eight foot ramp at full speed and show off their skills. Early bird passes have already sold out but there are general admission tickets still available. There are also 3-day VIP tickets available which give access to heated lounges, elevated main stage viewing and New Year’s champagne.
