The Allman Brothers Band has announced dates for its annual residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The longtime rockers are so far scheduled to headline eight concerts at the venue March 10-12, 14, 15, and 17-19. Their 2009 run at the Beacon included guest appearances from Eric Clapton, members of the Grateful Dead, Phish, Buddy Guy, Lenny White and Kid Rock.
The Jacksonville, FL natives first achieved breakthrough success with their 1971 live album At Fillmore East, featuring extended versions of their classic songs “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” and “Whipping Post.” Many consider At Fillmore East to be one of the best live albums ever made. From 1971-2005 the band produced eleven gold and five platinum albums en route to their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked them 52nd on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Don’t miss the Allman Brothers Band live at New York City’s Beacon Theatre! Tickets are now available!
