LeBron Nets 38 in Cleveland Return

LeBron James dropped 24 points in the third quarter from 10-of-12 shooting as part of his season-high 38 point performance to lift the Miami Heat past the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-90 in his return to the Quicken Loan Arena. James seemed unfazed by the hostile Cleveland crowd, who haven’t seen their former franchise player since last season’s humiliating Game 5 loss to the Boston Celtics back in May. “It was impressive,” said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. “It takes a special player and a person to be able to respond to all of this scrutiny.”

The CavsĀ held the lead through the majority of the first quarter until Miami’s Big 3 eventually found their rhythm and took over. Dwayne Wade produced a near triple double with 22 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Chris Bosh controlled the inside game with 15 points and five boards. James Jones came off the bench for 18 points and six rebounds. The Heat are now 12-8 approaching their next game this Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks at home. Miami Heat tickets are now available!
