Nets Claim 1st Road Win

The New Jersey Nets have now won two of their last three regular season contests following yesterday’s 103-101 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.  Brook Lopez led in scoring with 25 points as Chris Douglas-Roberts and Devin Harris following up with 20 and 17. “We just continue to get better,” said Douglas-Roberts. “The Bulls made a lot of runs at home and we were able to withstand those runs, which is big for an NBA team.”

The Bulls have slipped to a 7-12 record with eight losses in their last nine games. “When we make a run like that at home, we got to think mentally we have the advantage. We could never pull it together,” said Chicago’s Joakim Noah. “It never feels good to lose to the team with the worst record in the NBA. It hurts.” The Nets were up after three blocks when Chicago proceeded to miss four straight free throws to start the fourth quarter. From there they rallied to grab a point advantage with 2:10 remaining, all for Devin Harris to answer back quickly from trey land.  The Nets will host the Golden State Warriors tonight as the Bulls travel to Atlanta to matchup with the Hawks.
