Red Sox Ticket Sales Update

By on December 13, 2011 in ,

In the aftermath of the September collapse by the Boston Red Sox, 2012 Sox tickets were not top of mind for Boston fans.  Given how passionate Red Sox fans are, we weren’t surprised by the initial lack of interest. With a few months now between us and the disastrous events of September we can see Sox fans flocking back for the 2012 season. This is Red Sox Nation after all and when the 1st pitch is thrown on Opening Day 2012, September 2011 will be all but forgotten.

As of December of this year, Ace Ticket has a great selection of Red Sox tickets for all home games. While our supply will change as season ticket holders come in, you can find just about every type of seat for the 2012 season on our site now.  The best selling games so far aren’t too surprising. Opening Day is among the best selling games so far.  The game getting the most attention and the most ticket sales so far however is the April 20th game against the New York Yankees. In addition to being the first 2012 match-up for the old rivals, this game will mark the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park.  The Red Sox have a special celebration planned to mark this special day in Sox history.

Fans looking for the best deals on 2012 Red Sox Tickets should check our specially marked “Best Value” games. These games have tickets priced lower than your average game. “Best Value” games include the following dates so far: 4/17, 4/18, 4/30, 5/1,  and 5/2.  The Red Sox will play their Home Opener on April 13, hosting the Tampa Bay Rays.  For Interleague play this year the Red Sox will host the Nationals, Marlins and Braves.
