David Krejci picked a good time to pick up his first NHL hat trick. His three goals were the difference in a very high-scoring game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs gave B’s tender Tim Thomas a lot of trouble. Though the Bruins were up 5-1 by the early 2nd period, thomas got rocked for 4 more goals in rapid succession. He was swapped out for batterymate Manny Fernandez, who stopped all 13 shots he faced.

With a goal in the second period, Phil Kessel not only hit the 100 career point mark, but he also extended his point streak to 16 games. The Bruins are now 9-1-0 in the last ten games, and are comfortably leading the Northeast division.

Marco Sturm, Marc Savard, and rookie Michael Ryder also contributed goals for Boston.
