Patriots Prepare for Houston

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was focused on his football team more so instead of media responses following their successful 35-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.  When asked about the potential options to rest the starters he kept it simple as always, saying “we’ll kind of have to figure all that out here in the next couple of days. Right now, our focus this morning was to come in and watch the Jacksonville game, make some corrections on that, talk about the things that we need to do and then get ready for Houston.”

Despite his routine mannerisms in Monday’s press conference, people couldn’t help but notice a slight difference in his tone when the simple question of how he’s doing was asked. “I’m doing good. Doing real good. It was a good day for us yesterday,” he said. “We’ll try to hopefully stay on that track. Good preparation, good practice and play well.”

The Patriots will next be tested against the Houston Texans, a squad still fighting to gain a wild-card playoff spot. If one scenario plays out New England will find themselves battling the Texans again in the first round. For now they’ll put the regular season to a close on Sunday, January 3rd at Reliant Stadium.
